Class of 2012!

Classified cards are a fantastic way to build vocabulary.  As children have more experience reading, they can sound out the labels and match them to the picture.  The children can be reading words that may be too difficult in another context.  They can also check their work by turning over the card and seeing if it matches the label.
This moment is so fantastic because Francisco is sounding out a word and Tueli is able to 'hear' it, even before Francisco does!

First snow fall.

Our first snow inspired Lucy and Weston to write out some of the Frosty the Snowman lyrics.
